The Future is Now...
And it's somewhat underwhelming. I set out at the beginning of the year with lofty goals. I find myself nearing the end of the year having barely achieved one of them. Writing regularly was clearly not it. I did manage to play a more boardgames. While I slowed somewhat on the acquisition of new titles, I did manage to get Gloomhaven to the table with a regular group. For nearly 3 months we have had regular Saturday gaming sessions, and have progressed a good way into the very extensive campaign. I am looking foreward to continuing this into 2020. And maybe beyond with the announcement of Frosthaven. I have yet to find a programming hobby task. Partly because I simply don't find myself using the laptop that often. Without a proper desktop and office space I lack the desire or comfort to spend much time with screen tasks more challenging than social media and reading. Which also explains the lack of writing.
